Open night enjoyed by all
	Last month we held our Wine & Cheese Open Night at the clinic, where our clients sipped on wine & enjoyed a tour around the clinic. It was a chance to check behind the scenes, as to where your pet stays during its time in hospital, the sterile theatre, x-ray room and our hydro-bath & grooming area. How can you tell if your dog is in pain?
	Dogs feel pain for many of the same reasons as humans: dental problems, infections, arthritis, disease and cancer as well as discomfort after surgical procedures. There are certain signs and changes in behaviour that can indicate a dog is suffering. As a dog owner you are in the best position to notice those often subtle changes. What do athletes and canines have in common?
	Cruciate ligament ruptures! When a dog visits us because of a lame leg one of the first things we check for is a swollen and painful knee. This can indicate cruciate ligament damage. Find out more about this so called 'footballers injury' here.

	A Guinea Pigs is also known as a Cavy which is derived from the scientific name, Cavia porcellus.
